19th - 25th Fishing Report

19th June - With the water levels dropping again the numbers of fish caught are dropping also. There were thirteen fish reported caught today with four of those released.
20th June - Eleven fish reported today caught on the worm and the fly. The average weight was 5-6 lb.
June 21st: - Twenty-three fish reported today with some of our club members enjoying some good catches while also releasing some. Those that were released weighed approximately 4lb while those that were killed weighed approximately 7lb.
June 22nd – Another productive day here at Ballisodare with twenty-four fish caught. Nine of those were released. All methods used, the fly, the worm and indeed five were landed on the prawn. Andrew Pearson was among the successful anglers today catching two nice fish average weight 5lb.
June 23rd-Catches are proving more difficult with the continuing drop in water levels and rising temperatures. Fourteen salmon reported caught average weight 5lb with two of those released. All methods used today fly, worm and prawn.
June 24th – A few visiting anglers got lucky today with six fish reported caught. The average weight of those caught was 5lb.
June 25th – A good day especially for some of our club members. Brian Mc Donagh landed two nice fish average weight 5lb while Sean Gallagher caught one salmon weighing 5lb. James Mc Guire caught a salmon weighing 5lb. Six more salmon were caught today average weight 5lb.
Overall there were reduced catches this week due to the dropping water levels but still some good fishing to be had especially at lower falls section with a good number of grilse moving in the Falls area.
