Fishing Report 22nd -28th May 2017

May 22nd – Water levels dropping this week so catches are proving difficult. Visiting Angler Larry Mitchell landed a nice 7lb fish on the fly. One more caught on the worm today weighing 4lb. Two fish released average weight 5lb.
May 23rd – Quiet again. One fish weighing 5lb caught on the fly.
May 24th – The first fish of the day was a nice 6lb fish caught on the prawn, while club member Kevin Flynn caught a 6lb fish on the fly up stream. Two more released average weight 5lb.
May 25th – Hot sunny conditions today and water levels still low. However two Anglers got lucky with Joe Walsh netting a lovely 8lb fish on the fly. One other caught on the worm weighing 4lb. One fish released today weighing 5lb.
May 26th – Very hot and sunny conditions leaving fishing quiet today. Four fish released today among them was club member Vincent Henry releasing a 5lb fish on the fly.
May 27th- Heavy rain for the morning helped fishing conditions. Two fish reported 5lb caught on the fly and 6lb caught on the worm. Two released average weight 4lb both caught on the fly.
May 28th – Great catches today. Visiting Angler Peter Marshall caught a 5lb fish on the prawn with two more caught at the falls average weight 6lb. Up river five more caught on both the fly and worm average weight 5lb. Ten more released average weight 4lb most of which were caught on the fly with one caught on the prawn.


The Yellow Ally is the fly working best this week.
