Fishing Report April 10th - April 16th 2107

April 10th – No Fish reported caught today.
April 11th- Conditions improved today with a total of four fish caught. Visiting anglers, from Northern Ireland Mark Crawford caught a 7.5 lb salmon while his brother Damien Crawford caught a seven pound salmon both on the worm. Sean Maye landed a nice 9.5 lb salmon caught on the fly. One other fish caught today on the worm weighing in at 8lb.
April 12th – With heavy showers conditions weren’t favourable today. However Hugh Henry caught a fine 10.5lb salmon up River at Harrissons.
April 13th – With low water conditions today two fish were caught , a 9lb salmon on the fly and an 8lb salmon on the worm.
April 14th – One fish weighing 8lb caught on the fly today , while Tommy Colgan released a 7.5 lb Hen fish on the fly.
April 15th- Two fine fish caught today both weighing 10lb on the worm.
April 16th – Three Fish reported caught today 6lb on the worm, 5lb on the worm and 9lb on the fly.

Thirteen fish in total killed for the week average weight 9lb while a total of four fish were released for the week average weight 7lb.
The usual flies for this time of the year at Ballisodare are working, mainly tube flies : Posh tosh, Willie Gunn, Cascade and Park Shrimp.
