Fishing Report April 15th – April 21st 2019

Cooler earlier in the week but beautiful weather for Easter produced great fishing for Members and Visitors alike.

Paddy Beirne set the standard with a lovely 10lb fish on the worm. The following day Gerry McHugh caught a nice 7lb Salmon on the Fly. Bernard Harte and Tom Devaney both released fly caught fish, 10lb and 7lb respectively.

An early morning start delivered success for Trevor Goulden, 7lb fish on the Fly.

Clive O’Neill caught a similar fish the following day followed by a bumper afternoon. Sean Maye 10lb on the Fly, Vaughan Harkness 8lb on the worm and Phillip Sodens superb catch of 13½lb on the Fly.

Warm temperatures later in the week saw a great start to the Easter weekend.

Tom Devaney favoured the early morning to kill his first fish this season, 11½lb on the Fly. The next day Sean Maye took another great fish of 9½lb on the Fly.

Easter Sunday was again a successful day for Visitor Paul McGrory who caught a fabulous 11¾lb Salmon up River and Gerry McHugh took a 10lb fish to close the week.

Fantastic fish to match a great Easter weekend.
