Fishing Report April 17th- 23rd


April 17th – Water levels are getting very low with no catches today. Fish are still moving slowly.
April 18th – Visiting Angler Jamie Mc Stay from Athy , Co. Kildare caught a lovely 9lb spring Salmon his first ever on a fly rod at the falls. Up River a nice 8lb fish was caught on the fly, while Vincent Henry released a 7lb Hen fish on the fly. Two more fish released average weight 7lb.
April 19th – Chris Kitchen released a lovely 10lb Hen fish on the fly with one other fish being released also.
April 20th – Another fine 10lb salmon caught on the fly today by our Board man Sean Gallagher while one more was released on the fly average weight 8lb.
April 21st – The first fish of the day was caught and released by Our Club Secretary Dermot Glennon an 8lb Hen Fish the First of the season on the Prawn at the Falls. Two more fish were released on the fly average weight 6lb.
April 22nd – Eamon Ruddy killed a fine fish on the worm with one other caught on the worm weighing 7lb .
The most popular flies this week were the Willie Gunn tube the Silver Wilkinson ,the posh tosh and the yellow ally shrimp.
