Fishing Report June 26th- July 2nd

26th June – Twenty Fish caught today. Nine of those were released. Paddy Mc Gee landed a nice 6lb salmon on the fly. The others were caught on both the fly and the worm.
June 27th – Twenty Two fish reported today with nine of those released. Regular English Angler Graham Tuck was rewarded with two nice salmon weighing 7lb and 4lb caught on the worm. Graham also released a 4lb fish off the prawn. Other fish caught today on both the fly and worm average weight 5lb.
June 28th – Eighteen Fish reported today four of which were released average weight 5lb.
June 29th - Thirty Fish caught today with ten of those released. Our club secretary Dermot Glennon was rewarded with a fine 9lb salmon caught on the fly. Aidan O Connor caught two nice salmon on the worm weighing 5lb and 7lb. Some fish caught today on the prawn also. Average weight of those killed was 5lb while the average weight released was 3lb. All methods used.
June 30th – Nineteen Fish killed today and five more released. Average weight of those killed was 5lb while the average weight of those released was 3lb.
July 1st – Nineteen fish reported today with nine released. Average weight killed 5lb and those released weighed between 3 and 4lb.
July 2nd – Numbers of Salmon and grilse still running in good numbers despite the low water levels. Twenty three reported today with three of those released. The most popular methods are the fly and the worm. Average weight of those killed was 5lb while the average weight released was 3lb.
Overall a very good weeks fishing here at Ballisodare with plenty of fish running.
