Fishing Report May 27th – June 2nd 2019

Heavy rain for the first part of the week brought much needed water to the system. The pass was opened and the Salmon were happy to start moving again upstream to spawn.

Some lovely fish were caught including Wayne Carberry with a beautiful 11½lb on the Fly followed by Richard Todd 11lb on the Prawn, David Gunn 9½lb and Chris Kitchen 11½lb on the worm.

The beginning of June and the start of the Bank Holiday weekend brought many of our members out to fish the river. The rain all week brought the water levels to the extreme of the previous week, with flood conditions. This didn’t deter most with 27 fish caught plus 13 released on Saturday and Sunday including Michael Breslin 7½lb, David Marron 6lb on the Fly and Hughie McKeever 11lb on the worm at the Falls.
