Kid’s Day 14th July 2017
Today July 14th we had our annual “Kids Day” which was a great success. In total forty nine kids participated with all of them catching fish. We were lucky with the weather staying nice and dry and sunny. Fish of all sizes were caught from 1.5lb to 6.5lb and fish were caught mainly on the fly and worm with three caught on the prawn. Jack Mc Quaid landed the first salmon of the day on the worm weighing 5.61 lb, Saorla Byrne was the first to catch one on the prawn weighing 1.79lb and David King caught the first salmon on the fly weighing 3.94lb. Ceoilin Byrne caught the heaviest salmon of the day weighing in at 6.54 lb caught on the fly. Overall the day was a huge success with lots of fun and enjoyment for everyone. Well done to all our aspiring young anglers especially those who caught their first ever salmon.
